my 18thc robe a la francais front view.Its made from shot faux silk embrioded with flowers .Theres at least 10 yards of fabirc in the dress and trims . the petticoat is made from shot red black silk taffeta. its worn over pocket panniers ,though I did later cheat and pad them as the dress is too heavy for the pocket hoops unsupported
Yes or get down the aisles ,I can never figure out how they sat in those 18thc tiny chairs ,we have a reproduction crinoline Windsor chair ,it has curved arms and the strut holding up the arm is curved right becack on itself so that ladies could sit in them,If I dont have time to get changed for tea thats what I sit in .I will try to get a photo soon
