Based heavily on the blue Claudia gown from Interview with the Vampire but also slighty adapted ,its from the 1880s bustle gown era,The fabric is blue shot taffetta and theres lots and lots of it ,well over 10 yards which iwas the amount I originaly bought but I used yards and yards from another dress and some darker taffeta for under the bustle .theres equaly a vast amount of trim ,,the bustle train is boned and stiffened with tulle in the pleats .the dress also has a full cage bustle under it and a corded stiffened trained petticoat ,I made the hat its on a little headband so it stays on easily and the cheap 50p ones are easy to hide in your hair

thank you Lynxmom,,It takes a while but I do like to get everything to match,,the biggest problems are usualy parasols ,fans and shoes,,Jewellery can be tricky but luckily theres a lot of reasonably priced victorian jewellery

Absolutely fabulous gown. Bustle dresses are one of my favourite clothes to look at and Interview With a Vampire most beloved movie ever. The scenes with Claudia in those robes unforgettable :love:

for me they were the best in the second part of the movie, but I, personally, prefer the first half with my beloved brat prince on the screen :)

yes I love them though they are time consuming to make ,I will post a how to make a simple one on my blog at some point late this year or early next year but they are quite hard unfortunatly even cheating and using a bought bodice
